Job description:
Job purposes: - Perform SUN/Linux system administration for company Unix SUN/Linux servers to ensure system is always available and running healthy for company’s systems
- The job scope covers (but not limited to) are hardware, software & operating system installation, OS configuration, OS patching, system logs analysis, system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities: - UNIX Solaris / Linux systems administration
- System health checks to ensure that UNIX Solaris / Linux systems are healthy
- Troubleshoot problems to minimize outages
- Build and install new UNIX Solaris / Linux systems
- UNIX Solaris / Linux systems configuration changes and upgrades
- Identify any potential opportunities for further improvement /system enhancement
- UNIX Solaris / Linux performance tuning and analysis
- OS patching
- Prevent system outages
- Meeting prescribed SLA
