Accounts & Finance Executive

Job Summary:

To support the Accounts & Finance Manager in maintaining the company’s financial health. This role focuses on daily financial operations, project-based accounting for solar installations, and ensuring timely monthly closings to support the company's growth.

Responsibilities:

• Daily Financial Operations: Handle daily operational duties including billings, invoicing, and payments. Record all financial activities, specifically managing Accounts Receivables (AR) and Accounts Payables (AP).
• Project-Based Accounting: Issue progress claims and invoices to Commercial & Industrial (C&I) clients based on solar project milestones, such as equipment delivery and installation completion.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for suppliers, customers, and bank statements to ensure data accuracy.
• Financial Closing: Assist in the preparation of full sets of accounts (Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and Financial Closing: ensure the timely closing of monthly accounts.
• Document Verification & Filing: Verify the completeness of vendor invoices and supporting documents. Maintain proper filing and labelling of all company documents for maintenance, retrieval, and archiving.
• Liaison & Compliance: Liaise with bankers, solicitors, auditors, and relevant authorities regarding annual audits, bank transactions, and income tax matters (including SST filings).
• Audit Support: Maintain a systematic filing system specifically for project related contracts and receipts to ensure compliance with LHDN requirements.
• Operational Agility: Support the management team in various capacities, ensuring that Ray Go Solar remains responsive to new business opportunities and urgent regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Min Diploma or Degree in Accounting & Finance. Partial professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, LCCI) are also welcomed.
• Min 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, Xero) and advanced MS Excel.
• High attention to detail (critical for solar project costings), highly organized, and able to work under the guidance of a superior.
