Job description:
We are currently representing our client, a multinational company producing high-quality complex metal components.
Role Responsibilities :
- Liaise with customers and forwarding agents for cargo readiness, vessel booking, arrange shipment/ delivery, domestic or international and ensure goods were loaded to truck/ container in good condition and ascertain inbound & outbound shipments were cleared promptly (POD).
- Prepare, review, confirm and follow up the accurate information on import and export shipping documentation such as Invoice, BL, COO, ISF and etc. in compliance with different customers/ countries’ requirements.
- Source and ensure the most competitive transportation and freight costs from shipping/ forwarding/ transport suppliers (Land / Air / Sea / Courier).
- Collaborate and manage costs relating to packaging, logistics and sub-con transportation and inventories level to achieve the monthly KPI set (OTD, freight premiums, customers’ complaint on packaging).
- Manage FG inventory (FIFO) and stock card management and arrangement, inclusive of packaging materials. FG/ packing materials were placed/shelved orderly for easy tracking.
- Maintain good filing system (for custom & audit) and record-keeping and responsible for warehouse housekeeping and safety.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.
Requirements :
- Minimum Diploma in any field.
- Minimum 2 – 3 years in shipping & logistic and well verse of Incoterm.
- Required skills: Good interpersonal skills, computer skills, ERP.
- Knowledge(s): Incoterms, custom requirements.
- Fluent written & spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Applicants must be willing to work in Alor Gajah.
