SMT Process Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Process Engineer will primarily be responsible for evaluating, implementing and monitoring processes and operating systems for the SMT department.
• Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
• Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and rollout new procedures.
• Evaluate, implement, and monitor SMT processes and operating systems.
• Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
• Monitors and improves efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes.
• Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
• Assembles reports to document process status and changes and conducts risk assessments.
• Communicate with supervisors and peers to resolve issues.
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
• Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
• Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned as and when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (EE, ME, or Engineering Technology) or equivalent experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT designation).
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to do analysis on all SMT equipment and process related issues.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Ability to read engineering documentation, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working experience with RoHS and no clean processes.
• Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria.
• Willing to work in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
