Requirements

• Min 5-6 years of experience in Linux (RHEL 6, 7, 8 & Ubuntu 14, 16, 18) OS administration

• Experience in installing Linux/ Unix servers, configuring networks and storage devices

• Experience in setting up Linux/Unix clusters for high availability

• Strong knowledge in Bash Shell scripting

• Exposure to monitoring tools for monitoring of enterprise servers

• Strong Virtualization experience (vSphere 5.x, 6.x, 7.0) and Red Hat virtualization

• Exposure to build ESXi Host and VMs in Linux environment

• Experience in Physical to virtual / Virtual to Virtual migration

• Automation experience is desired

• Understanding of ITIL concepts

• Experience in Financial Services industry is a plus

• Good to have:

o Basic routing and networking skills

o Dell Server and Storage (Poweredge, Unity, XtremIO)

o HP Server and Storage (Proliant, Storeonce, 3Par, Nimble)

o Basic middleware skills (Apache, Tomcat, Postfix, etc.)

Responsibility

• Responsible for day to day operation and maintenance of Linux servers and vSphere-based virtualization environment

• Participate in infrastructure implementation project, lead/co-lead team members in ensuring successful project delivery

• Lead and implement virtualization setup / implementation projects, including P2V / V2V

• Plan and perform system maintenance, OS and security patches

• Troubleshoot and report system incident/problems and anomalies

• Create and maintain operational documentation and reports

• Setup IT policies, standard operating procedures, change management to ensure standardized environments

• Create/build and maintain scripts to automate the support of Linux based servers

• Provide technical advice and provide coaching to junior team members

• Manage vendor in day to day operation and infrastructure projects
