Job description:
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for all processes related to product / material master data.
- Define, document, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flows for creating, updating, deleting, and maintaining material master data.
- Ensure compliance with global standards and local requirements for product data.
- Consult and support Product Managers, Business Unit teams, and global marketing organizations in how to set up product data correctly for launch, modifications, discontinuation.
- Train, coach, and guide end-users / stakeholders on best practices for material master / product master data.
- Act as a contact point / escalation point for issues / queries about master data
- Work closely with IT / system teams to tune, configure, or improve the system(s) supporting material master (e.g., ERP, PIM, database systems).
- Participate in or lead projects to enhance data systems, integrate new capabilities, or streamline workflows.
- Analyze user feedback, identify gaps, propose system or process enhancements.
- Monitor, audit, and ensure high data quality (accuracy, consistency, completeness) of material / product master records.
- Support the process of introducing new sales items (new materials / SKUs) till they are live on digital platforms.
- Manage modifications to product data over the product life cycle (e.g. changes in specifications, packaging, BOM, phase-in / phase-out).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Product / Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, IT, Finance.
- Align master data processes with business needs and constraints of different regions / markets.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to master data (e.g. error rates, time to create master record, data completeness).
- Provide regular reporting and insights to management about master data performance, trends, risks
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in material master data, process management, or related IT systems.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data management processes, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and improvement.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and/or PIM systems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a proven affinity for IT systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
