Company Background:
Our client is a long established company specializes in producing high-quality quarry products for construction industry and infrastructure development. They are currently looking for a COO for all their quarry operations within Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily quarry operations.
- Improve productivity, cost efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality.
- Develop operational strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Monitor performance, production targets, and key operational KPIs.
- Lead and coach department heads across Operations, HSE, Maintenance, and Logistics.
- Solve operational issues and support long-term quarry development.
- Work closely with the Top Management on business planning and improvement initiatives.
Job requirements:
- Minimum a Diploma / Degree in related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industry, with leadership background.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations and safety requirements.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Financial awareness (budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure).
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel to quarry sites across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak.
- Willing to be based in Kuantan, Pahang.
