Job description:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with global team to create safety strategies, influence decisions for the site to achieve Site and Corp EHS and sustainability goals.  
  2. Liaise with local government authority agencies in licensing, audits and inspections to ensure successful outcomes.
  3. Partner with global EHS team to cover Asia Region EHS-related activities (due diligence during manufacturing capacity expansion).
  4. Act as EHS expert (Subject Matter Expert) and point of contact for Safety, Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
  5. Manage and drive one core functional role (Environment/Safety/Health/Occupational Health) at site level to ensure regulatory compliance and lead in addressing potential legal, regulatory issues related to EHS matters. 
  6. Coach and develop site internal auditors and departments to drive ISO14K/ISO45K implementation across the site including ensuring sustaining the program.
  7. Ensure all EHS programs especially industrial hygiene & occupational health for KLM Operations are in full compliance with Federal, State and Local Regulations and ISO standards and global FS requirements.
  8. Influence the concepts of injury/incident prevention and monitor and develop plans to reduce injuries/incidents for KLM 
  9. Review site incident & occupational health trends and recommend action plans for overall site improvement including driving implementation with all stakeholders. 
  10. Drive the evaluation and control of potential workplace, EHS hazards through the establishment and maintenance of a sound EHS program and audit activities.
  11. Plan and execute Exposure Assessment/Risk Assessment to assess environmental, safety, occupational health and/or IH risk with EHS hazard controls identified and plans in-place. 
  12. Partner with site EHS engineers to continuously improve his/her knowledge and technical skills to support EHS operations.

 

Experience: 

More than 10 years of Environmental, Health and Safety working experience in a manufacturing environment. Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health experience is preferred.

 

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety, IH or related science field
