Position Title              : Wintel & Virtualization Engineer 

Working Location      : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Position Summary :

You are responsible for the Operations of Wintel infrastructure in our virtualized environment in the on premises Private Cloud. The Candidate will help maintain applications in the Wintel environment in a high state of operational readiness, and in compliance with the necessary security measures. In collaboration with Change Management and application team, the role-holder will onboard both to ensure that patches are applied on time. The candidate will also help in the process of automating the maintenance of the infrastructure through scripting and work on process with monitoring improvements to ensure that the infrastructure is always up.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\t
• Maintenance of Wintel infrastructure in premises data centers, VMware or Azure stack solutions. Support Wintel related service requests and changes requested by application or infrastructure teams.
\n\t
• Playing a major role in the operations of the Wintel infrastructure and 
\n\t
• Making sure that all Wintel infrastructure patches are up to date and infrastructure is current and resilient.
\n\t
• Ensure that operational SLA’s are met, and crafting meaningful reports and metrics to track progress of current infrastructure, including capacity planning and operational improvements.
\n\t
• Ensure operations are in compliance with security and best practices adopted by the industry. 
\n\t
• Providing advice and guidance to management during planning phases to ensure that non-functional requirements are included in the overall specifications.
\n\t
• Support other ad-hoc duties been assigned.

Key Requirements :

\n\t
• Bachelor's degree graduate in IT or Computer Science.
\n\t
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience of corporate infra operations in Wintel.
\n\t
• Good in Windows Server administration and configuration, including IIS, .NET, Active Directory, Certificate renewal, SCCM, and GPO policies.
\n\t
• Familiar in VMware environment and patching.
\n\t
• Good knowledge in bash, Powershell and other scripting for operational efficiency.
\n\t
• Familiar with complex or large sized network infrastructure development projects.
\n\t
• Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services and working with them to resolve incidents.
\n\t
• Familiar with Hardware RMA processes and Proficient in ServiceNow.
