Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
  • Familiarity with scripting –Shell (Bash), PowerShell, Python
  • Demonstrable experience as an application support engineer in a related field
  • Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance
  • Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them
  • Ability to keep up with innovation in application design
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining open source tools. Example:  
  • ELK
  • Confluent KAFKA
  • Redis
  • Kubernetes
  • Etc

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to teams within the organisation, and to external clients when required
  • Assisting with systems integrations
  • Managing ticketed query system and ensuring comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Managing coordination at a local and international level where required
  • Preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organisation’s systems
  • Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
  • Rotational 24x7 standby support
